During my 35 year career as a neurologist specializing in neurorehabilitation, I have seen first hand the strength, dignity and determination exhibited by survivors of stroke, brain and spinal cord injuries and other illness.

Their families—also survivors—share their journey and strength.

I know that good information, delivered at the right time, can change lives.  My goal through this site is to provide people with disabilities, their families and the healthcare professionals who care for them with the resources needed to face stroke, brain and spinal cord injuries and other illness.

For healthcare professionals in particular, I hope this site will be a forum to exchange ideas and add to the community of those caring for people with disabilities.
